Current Projects

PPE for Health Centers

Due to the widespread effects of the COVID-19 virus, the IHF has started a project dedicated to providing crucial Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to community health centers that care for under-served populations nationally.

According to Health Resource Service Administration, in 2017, more than 27 million people (approximately 1 in 12 U.S. residents) relied on a HRSA-supported health center for affordable, accessible primary healthcare.

We believe one way we can make a difference is by protecting our valuable doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers who are risking their lives every day. COVID-19 has cost us the lives of many healthcare workers that are already in critical shortage. This project holds great meaning to the IHF and with your purchase of PPE and donations, we can make an even greater impact. We have added a few resources at the bottom of the page demonstrating the necessity of our project.

Dandy-Walker Syndrome

In addition to actively sourcing and providing PPE to healthcare workers and individuals of high risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, the IHF has recently funded a research project to identify the genes directly linked to causing Dandy-Walker Syndrome in individuals. By using machine learning, this project can also be applied to the diagnosis and genetic analysis of other rare diseases, enhancing healthcare efficiency and effectiveness.
